Extreme Close Clearance 1/8" Tube Hand Bending Mandrel

This hand bending mandrel is the only 1/8" tube bending mandrel available from any manufacturer worldwide. It opens up entirely new possibilities for precision work in ultra-tight spaces where no other tool exists.

Precision-engineered for the most demanding applications, it delivers clean, distortion-free bends in 1/8" tubing with an ultra-compact 15/32" bend radius and supports up to a 168° maximum single-bend angle. Its extreme close-clearance design provides full internal support throughout the bend, minimizing wrinkling, flattening, kinking, or collapse even in tight-radius forming. The zero-lead-in configuration allows back-to-back out-of-plane bends, helix forming, and other complex tube routing.

Machined from durable 6061 Aluminum which will not gall or scuff standard 304 or 316 stainless tubing, the mandrel combines excellent strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and a smooth surface finish for superior tube forming results. Our standard bender is also suitable for bending annealed Copper, Mild / low-carbon steel, Aluminum, Brass, and soft-condition Nickel alloy tubing. It is ideal for custom fabrication, prototyping, research instrumentation, vacuum systems, and other technical environments requiring exacting accuracy.

The open-center design sits comfortably around a fingertip or 5/8" diameter rod for ease of bracing and positioning, as well as allowing "reach" into cavities for making those recessed in-situ bends that the engineers love to specify.

Options

We offer this same mandrel in aluminum-bronze for bending harder or galling-prone tubing such as Titanium, Inconel, and high-temper stainless steel. We can also custom fabricate mandrels to your specification of tube diameter, bend radius, and mandrel material.
