RH27 High Stiffness Rotary Feedthrough
RH27 High Stiffness Rotary Feedthrough

RH27 High Torque High Rigidity Rotary Feedthrough on 2.75" CF Flange

The Compact rotary motion feedthrough provides reliable, continuous 360° rotation for high vacuum (HV) and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) applications. Standard on a Conflat® (CF275) metal seal flange, these compact feedthroughs use a welded stainless steel bellows to maintain vacuum integrity while delivering smooth, low-backlash, high-stiffness rotary motion.

Key Features

  • Rotation: Continuous 360° (unlimited turns)
  • Shaft Diameter: 0.25″
  • Mounting Flange: 2.75" CF (DN40CF), other sizes available on request
  • Materials: 304 stainless steel construction with welded bellows; anodized aluminum atm-side only.
  • Max Bake Temperature: Up to 250°C (with motor removed)
  • Max Vacuum: 1 × 10⁻¹¹ Torr
  • Speed: Up to 300 rpm
  • Torque: Up to 220 in-oz (1.5 Nm)
  • Load Capacity: Axial up to 25 lb, lateral 6 lb at 4" from flange face
  • Drive: Manual thumbwheel + stepper motor (standard)
  • Resolution: 1° on manual rotary vernier scale, < 0.9 arcminutes with micro-stepping driver, < 0.4 arcseconds with high-precision high-ratio strain wave gearbox.

Ideal for in-vacuum sample rotation, target manipulation, probe positioning, or device actuation in surface science, deposition, and analytical vacuum systems. The robust bellows-sealed design ensures long-term reliability with minimal particle generation and excellent torque transmission.

We can also provide an in-vac version for vac-to-vac, isolated atmosphere, cryogenic, extreme emi sensitive, and double-containment experiments.

These economical, field-proven feedthroughs are fully compatible with demanding vacuum research and production environments. Motors shown above are NEMA 23, NEMA 17, and NEMA 14 stepper motors with other drives available upon request.
