BLT60S 6.0" CFF up to 24" travel | UHV Manipulators
The BLT60S is the larger 6.0" CFF counterpart in the CF Slimline Translator family. Built on the same compact frame as the BLT45S, it features cantilever brackets bolted to the flange side, leaving more than 87% of the flange circumference unobstructed. This enables close-quarter mounting in tight setups without interference from neighboring flanges or components. Both flanges include a standard 16-hole pattern for flexible mounting orientation.
Priced affordably yet built for long-term reliability, the BLT60S delivers years of trouble-free service in UHV environments with minimal maintenance. All key components, including the bellows, are field-replaceable. A wide range of options is available, such as extended stroke lengths, stepper motor drives (shown above), linear encoders, tapped flanges, special heights, and more.
Maintenance
Minimal maintenance is required. Linear bearings are self-lubricating. Keep guide rods clean and periodically lubricate the lead screw and bearings with high-temperature Teflon lubricant.
- Extend the translator fully.
- Place a spacer between the traveler and lower bracket.
- Remove the bearing retainer flange.
- Turn the knob counter-clockwise to extract the bearings.
- Work grease into the bearing.
- Replace the bearing, retainer, and screws.
- Remove the spacer.
