These guarded alligator clip leads solve the two biggest problems with conventional insulated clips: the rubber boot that blocks the jaws, and the exposed metal tip that can short against neighboring clips.

A 3D-printed PLA or PETG shell fully encloses the clip body and extends all the way to the tip, while leaving the jaws and teeth completely open and unobstructed. The result is a clip that grips securely and will not accidentally short when two leads touch, or rest against a grounded chassis or bench.
