IR2000 Internal Bakeout Heater
The IR2000 delivers a highly efficient, internal bakeout solution for ultra-high vacuum (UHV) chambers. Developed as a direct replacement for bulky external ovens and adhesive heater tapes, it uses small, high-power quartz infrared lamps mounted inside the vacuum chamber itself. This design captures 100% of the radiant heat and directs it precisely where needed, dramatically shortening bakeout times and accelerating the path to low base pressures.
Each lamp is securely mounted on its own standard 2-3/4″ (CF38) ConFlat flange for straightforward integration into any UHV chamber. The IR2000 system employs two separately mounted 600 W quartz lamps, paired with the dedicated IR-2000 Power Supply and rack-mount control unit (115 VAC, 60 Hz, 1200 W total with dual bulbs). Heater dimensions are compact (approximately 1.5″ diameter × 5.4″ long), and the lamps are rated for approximately 180 hours of service under normal conditions.
